MDI 5 is a recent result of our efforts to enhance the performance of your CASE-IH or NEW HOLLAND tractor. With five (5) metric ton lift capacity (11 000 LBS) it is designed for customers who require a very high lift capacity and a rigid front hitch for applications like cultivators, sprayers, mowers, snow blowers, packers, etc.

MDI 5 is designed with a one-piece welded frame with bolt-on side reinforcements back to the clutch housing for maximum rigidity and durability. The hitch becomes an integrated part of the tractor and the maneuverability is fully retained. (Side reinforcements are not available with SuperSteer front axle.)

A unique locking pin allows for independent vertical flotation of the lower links, thus providing ground contour following for the implement. The hinge is perpendicular to the direction of travel to prevent self-locking when pushing. The pin can also be used to lock the hitch solid for use with tanks or a spray boom for example, or it can be used for folding the lower links vertically when not in use.

MDI 5 is compatible with both the standard MFD or the suspended (TerraGlide or Smart Suspension) front axles. The special, axle mounted version for tractors with SuperSteer gives the operator an unparalleled control of the front implement. The steering wheel becomes directly connected to the implement, a great advantage for cultivators for example. This is a unique NEW HOLLAND advantage.

MDI 5 maintains the tractors ground clearance.

MDI 5 is compact with minimal overhang from the front face.
